Fat Shopaholic in the Press!

Hello, everyone. I am pleased to announce that Fat Shopaholic has gotten it's first ever feature in the press! I have known about this for a while but, I wanted to wait until the issue came out first before I mentioned it. I am featured along with Frocks and Frou Frou, Foray's in Fatshion, Fat Girls Like Nice Clothes Too and Saks in the City in the March Issue of Grazia India. You guys this serves as a great confidence boost. I was getting a little down about some of the negative formspring comments and some other blog related things but, the fact that someone wanted to feature me makes me feel like I am doing something right.

Jen's Fashion Plus Clothing Review!

The wonderful Jen of Jens Fashion plus was gracious enough to send me a shirt to review so, here goes.

To give the tee shirt a test run I decided to wear it to school today. Before ordering from Jen’s fashion plus I suggest you take your measurements and compare them to the measurements on  each item listed. I find that the measurements for Jen’s Fashion Plus run a tad small. I had to order the 5x but, at most other stories I wear a 3x. 

The tee shirt is grey and black with “rock star” images. I like the quality of the shirt. For some reason I thought that this shirt would be thin but, it was not. The shirt turned out being opaque enough that my bra didn’t show through while the fabric was a good weight; it was not to thick or to thin.

In the morning I do not have a lot of time to get dressed so, I just paired the shirt with all black. I have been wearing my American Apparel circle scarf everyday for weeks; I just can’t get tired of it. I also am a fan of wearing leggings alone because if you didn’t know, in Tiffany’s world if the shirt is hip length it can be worn with just leggings. I have to say that I love the Torrid knit moto jacket. I did have to get it a size larger then I normally wear in jackets (a five) like I normally have to do at Torrid. The shoes are Evans. I got them for 20 pounds down from 60 pounds; YAY for good deals. Finally, I have been wearing a headband or head piece on my head everyday for weeks so, the bow is the perfect touch.

I often talk about utilizing the effect of a statement accessory to add a interesting touch to a otherwise simple ensemble. Well, what better way to do that then with a statement bag! I statement bag can be a bag with a bold color, print, or interesting detail like studs. This bag comes in bright  orange as well as red and features all over grommets and studs. Also, for you girls that like to stay on trend this bag also comes in a nude color. 1 - ASOS CURVE Floral Tee I have a new found love for floral prints. I now own several floral print dresses and would love to have a tee shirt as well. I think this one from ASOS CURVE would drape nicely and look great with a great pair of jeggings paired with flats or heels. 

2 - Black Lace Bodice Poplin Party Dress I currently own two LBDs (Little back dress). One is from Macy's and is more job interview appropriate and the other is a all over ruffle dress from Torrid. The Torrid dress is more of a party dress and I am in the market for something a little more plain for everyday. This dress fits the bill; I love the full skirt  and lace detail of this dress.

3 - Cambray Blue Parka  Because I mostly wear leggings I think this jacket will look perfect over simple leggings and tee shirt ensembles. This jacket also has a back like "penguin" suit which is great way to as a interesting detail to a simple outfit.

4 - ULI Black If you follow this blog you know I have been trying to get into wearing heels. This would be great way to start because of the wedge that these shoes have. I also love the cut outs in the front. 

5 - Black and Blue Floral Print Romper   l love the boldness of this floral print and I love a good romper for it's comfort factor.

6 - ASOS CURVE Mesh Insert Leggings As a leggings wearer I love a interesting twist to mine. I love patterns and prints but, the mesh inserts here are just awesome.

7 - Black Belted Sleeveless Romper I love this Romper; its black, simple, chic and can be styled numerous ways.

8 - Light Grey Acid Jeggings I have been ready to try a pair of leggings for a while now. People have been giving them great reviews for there comfort level and want to try them so, I can say the same.

9 - Source of Wisdom Light Wash Two Button Denim Short I'm looking for a grey pair of denim shorts to wear over tights with my fringe moccasins. Considering these are around $10.00 I think these would be great.

10 - Keena: Black Because I already have a pair of flat gladiator sandals I think these would make another great basic sandal for everyday wear.

11 - ASOS CURVE Geo Printed Sweat Dress I love the print of this dress and what's more comfortable then a tee shirt dress?'
