Ashely Stewart Holiday Photo Shoot

On Friday Ashely Stewart flew two other bloggers and myself out to New York for their Holiday photo shoot. We had so much fun. We watched their holiday photo shoot featuring model Tara Lynn, styled 3 looks each from their October collection, and did interviews. The looks we styled will be shoot on models soon and will appear on the Ashely Stewart Website with the line, "Shop this look styled by..." They'll also be sending me the looks, so I can show you how they look on me. I've including pictures below of my outfit and other pictures from the day.

Relax, Slip in the Cracks

I took these photos a few weeks ago, but was hesitant to put them up. I wasn't the biggest fan of the way they turned out. I'm really used to have at least 5 0r 6 pictures I like to show you guys, but what the hell. I love the look of this leopard print skirt with the pink Doc Martens.

Boom in the Trunk

One of the reasons I had been missing in action for a while is because of the many projects I have going at once. Finally, the most time consuming of the bunch is ready to be announced and I couldn't be more excited. Boom in the Trunk is a plus size blogger/reader meet up featuring 5 great bloggers including my self. On October 27th from 7:00pm - 9:30pm guest of this event will be able to meet their favorite Chicago plus size fashion bloggers as well as enjoy great music, snacks, gift bags, and a photo presentation of Fall looks styled by me. I'm No Media Darling

On the first day of school after class was out I was walking to meet some friends and got stopped by two guys from Time Out Chicago because they liked my style. I did a quick interview with them and they took my photo. I talked about Fat Shopaholic, fashion, being fat and eating in public. If you live in Chicago pick up the issue. It will be on news stands from September 15th to the 21st. For my non-Chicago friends read the interview here and leave a comment please. Let them know you want to see more Fat Girls!

I forgot to mention in my last post that I was a Fashion Bomb Shell of the day on August 23rd on Fashion Bomb Daily for those of you who didn't see it on Tumblr or Facebook. Check it out here. My post caused quite the stir, so they wrote a follow up post on the role of weight in fashion here.

I know I've been gone a while, but it's been for good reasons I promise! Yesterday, while I was picking up a few things after school I was stopped by Lenny Gilmore, a staff photographer from the Red Eye Chicago Newspaper, to take some street style photos for the Red Eye website. He took the photo above. It was the second time I got stopped by Chicago publication for street style within a few weeks which is really weird. While we're on the subject of back school am I the only one that gets completely over done for it? I really am either dressed or I'm not I guess with no in-between. I've been taking some pictures of my face looks with my phone lately.  Maybe I'll take some better quality ones for a lipstick post if you don't mind starring at my face. lol
