I'm not 100% happy with the way I look in these pictures. I have worn this outfit a few times, but I feel like having my hair up this time may have ruined it. Maybe updos just aren't for me? This may come down soon. Until then enjoy.

Early Chicago Spring

Photos by Lucy Hewett

I've mentioned before that a good friend, Lucy Hewett, is doing a documentary/portrait on me, so on Friday we went thrifting, had lunch, and took outfit photos to shoot footage for that project. We traveled far North to go to a thrift store I'd never been to and I had biggest thrift score ever including the pink blazer I'm wearing above for 90 cent. It seems that in Chicago we completely skipped transition weather and launched right into spring.  I'm loving being able to bring you outfits like these, but afraid because we didn't have the usual Chicago winter.

I am loving this oversized top sent to me by Torrid; I want to wear it everyday. Ear Cuffs are my new favorite, but sadly as you can see this one from Jewel Mint broke and I had to return it. Also, I have been loving Aldo for necklaces lately. They cost a little more then f21, but are made much better.

How are you enjoying this early spring?

Leading Lady Bra Review/Giveway

Sunday, March 11, 2012

Photobucket

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Leading Lady to review one of their bras. I have been contacted before about reviewing bras, but I declined because I didn't really feel like a bra review would mesh well with the other content on this blog. This time around I thought I would try one out because, like many of you, I have both a large band and cup size which makes it hard to find a proper fitting bra that doesn't cost a ton of money.  Leading Lady had me covered in that regard.

I received the full coverage bra in a 50 F because they did not offer a triple D. I loved the fit of this bra. The strap across the back gave me great coverage and laid flat against my back the way it should. The shoulder straps were comfy and didn't fall down throughout the day. I loved that because I hate having to constantly adjust things. I must say that the boning of the first bra they sent me popped out on one side, but it turns out that bra was defective. Leading Lady sent me a second bra and it has been going strong for the past few weeks. Overall, I really liked this bra and would purchase one myself.

So that you guys get the opportunity to try a bra for yourselves  leading lady has offered to give one lucky winner the bra of their choice. All you have to do is fill out the entry form below.

Layering for School

Thursday, March 8, 2012

Jacket: Salvation Army/Hat: Beauty Supply/ Sweater: Salvation Army /Shoes: Vans via Urban Outfitters/Leggings: Forever 21/ Scraf: American Apparel/Brooches: Vintage, Ebay Gallery 37/ Backpack: Urban Outfitters

I know I said my next outfit would include pictures, but I just shoot this outfit after a long day of class last week. I did a lot of laying here, because in Chicago we are having a lot of in between weather where it has been between 40 - 60 degrees. For school in the winter I tend to keep it super casual because it can be really cold.

I have 2 more outfits from my shoot with Josh to show you coming soon, then after that I will get back random outdoor pictures and stuff. Im looking forward to neons, but more that later.
