I am constantly tugging and pulling and adjusting. I am not comfortable, it is binding and tight and just plain uncomfortable. So I changed my way of thinking. Not to mention when I was single it was like playing a trick on men. You're all smooth with clean lines, and when the clothes come off, you are all humps and bumps. If you don't like what you see... LOOK AWAY!!! I am married, and he loves my curves, and I don't see why I should get a yeast infection or be uncomfortable to make someone else feel comfortable with what they see. I guess its an older generation thing...LOL
Well being in my 30's I don't consider my self old, but I know I grew up with my mom, grandma and aunts wearing shape wear and control top panty hose. They would not even hear about going with out. The first time I wore a dress with out a slip or pantyhose my mom was not happy, I remember how free and comfortable I felt!

I like Nikstar comment about "not trying to sexily strip out of a second skin aka spanx!" That is for sure not sexy! The first time my man realized I was wearing shape wear he kinda laughed and asked why was I wearing a scuba suit! LOL
He said he didn't care it I wore it our not he loved me just the way I am. SO I think sometimes we do it more, for either ourselves or other women. (She's a petite 110 lbs.) Even in the blazing summer, she was all about wearing pantyhose and panty girdles in the summer. I didn't get rolly or fat until I was 19, and I remember her buying me a panty girdle to take on my trip to visit my husband's (then boyfriend's) family for the first time. I wore girdles, longline bras, and control top pantyhose dutifully throughout my high school, college, and early career days. But by the time I was 23, I said the hell without. Do i really need something else compressing my lungs or preventing me from breathing well?

I do wear biking shorts or long line briefs to keep from thigh chafing in the summer and that's it.
