This is digital drawing done of me by Rachele of
Near Sighted Owl. I discovered her blog when she emailed me about this drawing and it is my current favorite. I'm loving all of her great thrifted finds. Her 35mm project post have me excited about getting more film cameras. If you would like a digital portrait of your very own they available in her
Etsy store for $25 each. I think they make a great thoughtful gift.
Last week I had a great meeting with Lucy Hewett about our upcoming portrait project. She'll be following me around for a few days taking pictures and video to form a 2 - 5 min digital portrait of me, so if you ever wondered about my boring life you'll get to see a bit of what it's like to be me. This is a photo snapped right after the meeting.
The Instagram version
This Christmas at my house was very laid back. I didn't get a ton of gifts, but surprisingly I was ok with that. I'm finding that the older you get the items get more expensive, but you ask for fewer things. One of my gifts was a Fugi Instax 210. It captures vintage poloraid style photos simular to some the of instagram filters. I decided to capture our Christmas with the Instax instead of my DSLR. I'm getting a bit more into taking pictures with film and plan to get a Diana F+ soon. I love cool looking prints for pasting in journals and capturing random personal memories. These are pictures of pictures because I don't have a good scanner. I Hope you guys had a good christmas.
This is the first picture with my new Nikon D3100 I got for christmas. I can't wait to start shooting outfits with it. The make up, as always, is a work in progress, so be nice.
