Body Positive Thrift Day

Body Positive Thrift day was a real blast. We shopped, we joked, we told stories, we drank, and we stuffed ourselves full of cuban goodness. The best part of the day was picking out things we thought others would like and adding them to a community shopping cart. That gesture really showcased the point of the day which was to unify with other fat girls and help one another be fashionable. Also, getting drunk off mojitos and champagne wasn't bad either. It was so much fun and Rachel and I can't wait do it again. I think our next get together will be a body positive beach day. For my outfit I went with something easy and casual because I knew I had a busy day ahead of me. The sheer cape crop top is a size large from Nasty Gal. It fit well; the only alteration I made was to cut the bands off the sleeves.

Just Right

This is my first outfit in a while; I just haven't had much reason to get dressed. I've really just been playing games on the ipad I got for my birthday and reading books. I just finished the Hunger Games Trilogy and it was a amazing. I definitely recommend it. Also, thanks for all the birthday wishes you guys sent. Anyway on to the outfit. This is a just a casual outfit I wore running errands. In Chicago we have been experiencing in-between weather, so it's warm enough for a maxi dress, but adding the blazer didn't hurt either. I love these Doc Martens. They weren't cheap, but I definite must have if you love combat boots and animal print. They are a good summer shoe because they aren't too hot and heavy, but I wouldn't wear them in the rain because of the cow hide. What do you guys wear when it's not to hot, but not cold.
