What I Wore to the Brooklyn Museum Fashion Show

Friday, July 2, 2010

Last week I attended the Fashion show at the Brooklyn Museum and I had a great time. Here is what I wore.  It's pretty much the same as the outfit from the post here, but with different color shorts and a jazzed up top.  The shirt I wore is a top I had replicated and made for me by Two String Jane. I saw Ciara wear the $615 silk and sequin Ashish top in her basic instinct video and fell in love with it, but there were two problems. One, I couldn't afford it and two I knew it wouldn't fit me. I approached Alyssa with the idea and she told me she could hand stud the shirt for $72 including the $11 for the Asos Sub Tee and the $6 Asos shipping. The shirt is very delicate, but over all I'm happy with it.

Here is an up close shot of the ring I wore.  It's a stretch ring from Re/dress.

Here is a picture of me and Tennille of naKiMuli after the fashion show.

I'm going to do a post with all of the looks from the fashion show right after this; I just didn't want this to be to long.

After the fashion show we had cuban food.

Love etsy! I am having someone make me a dress with a sparrow pattern like the Miu Miu design! We can't all spend hundreds of dollars on designs we like!

You be doin it (in my Bawdamore accent)!!! Absolutely, awkwardly, adorably cute! Your pictures helped me free my knees (my knees are fat and i do not like them), because you always look so put together... with your damn knees out! So thank you, and keep up the good work.
