The Gold and the Beautiful Clothing Swap

My apologies for my pictures being late. An awesome photographer took some great photos of me and I was waiting to receive them, but since people have kept asking me how the swamp was I decided to just use pictures from my own camera. If I get them I will just do a photo set on Tumblr.

The swap was great. It was so great meeting everyone. I made some amazing contacts, so the next thrifting event we be even better. I tried on some awesome stuff as well. The steal of the night had to be an amazing black Anne Taylor cape with a leopard print fur trimmed hood. I will be wearing it as soon as the weather is in the 50's again. Speaking of weather the day of swap the weather was near 60 degrees at some parts of the day, so I decided to wear something a bit more colorful.

I live for Jessica. There is a picture of us kissing somewhere on the internet. My moment for life! She also gave me lots of hugs to cheer me up because a family issue had me upset when I arrived. So sweet!

Too Casual?

I was unsure about this outfit, so I put it on Tumblr first. Everyone over there liked it, so I decided to see what guess thought here. Lately, I don't feel like I have a lot of fashion inspiration as I've mostly been wearing casual outfits that I've haven't felt like were blog worthy. In light of that maybe it's time I show my more casual side.

This is what wore today. I was just running errands and laying around the house because it was raining. This Beth Ditto top has been getting a work out lately. It's so comfy; I would wear it everyday if I could. The leggings have to be my favorite thrifted find to date.

Fat Shopaholic Thrifting Day

Finally I’m back with a proper outfit post. Yesterday I held a thrifting day here in Chicago. We went to two thrifts stores and had grommet hot dogs at Franks N’ Dawgs. I had a brunch dog (breakfast sausage, sunny side up egg, bacon, an maple sauce), the Kosher choice dog (pork Belly Sausage, black forest ham, sweet and sour cabbage, dill sour cream, and fried beet strings), and truffle fries. Everything was really good. Here’s some food porn.

This is what I wore. I ordered this sweat shirt from Woman Within in a 4x (size 36), so it could be really oversized, cut the neck so it hung off the shoulder and cut a silt up the front so I could tie it because it was tunic length. I really like the turn out. I may order more and give them a similar treatment. I paired it with a pair of Evans harem pants. I find that when I order my regular size in the Evans harem pants they don’t have that baggy harem fit, so I ordered them in UK 32. I love my new docs. I wear an 11 1/2 and was nervous about the fit of the size 11, but it worked out. Docs can be a little hard to break in,so they are killing my feet, but getting better with every wear. If you have a new pair that are rubbing up against your heels, but duck tape in the back of the shoe. Thats a trick I learned it high school. I still have my tall black pair and red short pair from high school; docs last forever. 

I have been loving playing in make up. I did my eyes for the first time since high school and love the turn out. I had never intended to get into eye make up again, so I only have one eye pallet. I must get some more. After all I can’t wear green every day.

Everything, but Nothing at All

School has kept me so busy that I haven't able to update the blog and I was missing a part for my tripod. I now have a new part for my tripod, so next week I may take outfit photos Monday thru Friday to show what I wear to school if you guys don't mind a week of more casual outfits. I do plan to post my outfit as well as a full recap from the thrifting day. I also plan to post  a outfit and recap from the clothing swap on Sunday. In the mean time I have been uploading Youtube videos. I don't plan to post them all on the blog in the future, but I just wanted to give you something and say I'm still alive.

The Target near my house has Nicole by OPI nail polish on sale for $3.50, so I bought some and painted my nails. 

I got a star cut into my hair. 

I went the Mac Pro store to check out the Wonder Woman Collection. Everything on my face is from the collection. 

I met the cutest pair of metallic yellow Docs on the train. Don't our feet look cute together? LOL
