I love this video and I agree with everything Joy is saying. However I have to raise one question. In the video Joy says something to the effect of "We have power in our pocket book so don't shop at stores that don't carry your size" I am always down for the cause and in theory we should not give our money to stores that don't carry plus sizes. But, in reality given the fact there are so few and often expensive choices for plus sized women is it really possible to avoid making clothing at a straight sized store work for you even if you have to stretch it and squeeze into it to take advantage of the Forever21 and h&m pricing? So, what's your take ladies? How do u feel? Are you a professional squeezer like me or do only buy clothes that are your actual size?

I agree with you, about the pricing of some plus sized stores, for example Torrid. Don't get me wrong i love this store but the quality of the clothing does not match the price. I refuse to pay 60 bux for a 100% polyester shirt that i am going to have to replace in about 3 months. I look for items that are going to last longer then just the trend. And Torrid should smarten up, they are advertising toward high schoolers, and young adults, their prices should reflect that!!!
In many ways I agree with you.. I just ordered some stuff from evans that I will be modeling soon and I must say the quality is better. I think that because there are so few plus sized stores they can charge higher prices. Like, if torrid has a dress you love and can't find anywhere else then even if its over priced you are more likely to buy it.
I totally agree with you. I'm in Canada and the plus such options are dire! When I'm not thrifting, I shop at straight size stores and make do with what I can. I don't have a lot of money, and I want to look good.
Really? Are there to few stores in canada for plus sizes? is the problem price and quality? Or are the clothes drabby and not youthful looking?
